A Gold Coast holiday can mean a lot of many different things, with the water and beach-bound activities topping the list of things you can do here. You can enjoy the sun and the surf on one of the 40 beaches that dot the Gold Coast, and with 70 kilometers of sandy beaches to choose from, you can be sure that swimming, sunbathing and other beach-bound activities will definitely be part of your itinerary here. Going to and from your Gold Coast accommodation can be pretty easy since most of the Gold Coast apartments that can be rented in the area are often found near or on these lovely stretches of golden sand.
Gambling, Dining, and Other Nighttime Activities

Take the Family Out
Who says the Gold Coast is a place for adults only? Children and those who are young at heart can have the times of their lives here with the many daytime adventures they can have. There are theme parks for the kids to explore, like Dreamworld. This park has a water park and a koala park, among others, for you and your kids to enjoy. You can also check out the marine park called Sea World here, reputed to be the biggest of its kind in the hemisphere. Aside from these, you can also indulge in one of the favorite pastimes of many—shopping. Some of the biggest shopping malls in Australia can be found on the Gold Coast, and a lot of them are near Gold Coast apartments and Gold Coast accommodations that tourists may rent out for the summer. What better way to enjoy a day in Queensland than to find quality merchandise at discount prices in these retail outlets? Enjoy the unique shopping experiences to be had in Australia’s Gold Coast.
There can be no place like home, but Gold Coast will certainly keep home sickness away for a while.

Gold Coast Holiday with 4 year old?Hi
We are heading to the Gold Coast staying in Surfers the first weeks in August. Never been before and wondered what theme parks are good for a 4 year old? Are they all OK for him, or would be be wasting our money?
What else can anyone recommend?
Thanks!

From Brisbane International and Domestic Airport you can catch the train which goes direct to Robina Railway Station….and from there you can get onto the Surfside Bus which takes you to the southern most suburb of the Gold Coast-Coolangatta and then proceeds next to Tweed Heads, the last stoppage which is actually the northern most town of New south Wales. This is more cheaper also provided you carry less luggage and arrive during the day time. The journey time is almost 1 hours and 30 minutes.
The other option is to take the coachtrans small bus service which is available from the airport. It is a door to door service. You will have to give the exact address where you want to go. The cost is approximately 35 AUD one way. But it is very convinient, once you and your luggage has boarded, just sit back and relax. The journey time is around 2 hours.
Sunset Strip is one of the best back packers on the Gold Coast. It is located in Coolangatta near the surfing beaches. The approximate cost is 50 AUD per night per room and 10 AUD for the key which will be returned back when you check out. The Tweed Mall shopping center is just walking distance from here, where you can go to shop for your necisities. Beacause at backpackers you will have to cook your own food…unless you eat at an outside restaurant.
Have a great Holiday…..Cheers!
